
PATENT SEARCHING
The Patent Search Lecture and Writeshop is a capacity-building program designed to equip participants with essential skills in conducting patent and prior art searches. The lecture component introduces the nature, purpose, and value of patent information, including patentability requirements and the role of patent searches in determining novelty, inventiveness, and industrial applicability.
Through the guided writeshop session, participants apply the skills learned through the lectures in their actual or proposed projects, enabling them to assess their existing technologies, avoid duplication of research, and make informed decisions related to intellectual property protection.
