IP Discovery Workshops support academic and research units in identifying, assessing, and managing their technological outputs and innovations.

Through a structured review, this activity captures existing and emerging technologies, research outputs, and creative works that may have potential for intellectual property protection and technology transfer.

This process helps units recognize patentable inventions, evaluate the readiness and applicability of technologies, and determine appropriate protection and development pathways. It allows the University to identify gaps in documentation, ownership, and protection, ensuring that valuable innovations are not overlooked or left unprotected. IP Discovery Workshops enable a more informed and strategic decision-making, strengthen IP management, and allow technologies to be better positioned for potential partnerships, licensing, and broader societal impact.
