MARKET APPLICATIONS AND COMMERCIAL OPPORTUNITIES

Stroke and injury remain the two leading causes of disability in the Philippines. Recent technological advances in biomedical engineering have paved the way for the development of exoskeletons for rehabilitation. However, a low-cost device that can effectively increase upper extremity motor recovery remains unavailable in developing regions that have limited access to modern healthcare facilities.

Market Overview

Globally, the exoskeleton market is expected to register a CAGR of 12.5% during the forecast period from 2020-2026.

The major factors propelling the market growth are the rising prevalence of stroke, increasing adoption of the exoskeleton, and the growing geriatric population at a global level are some of the key factors anticipated to influence the market growth over the forecast period. With the increasing number of disabled and aged people, there has been an increase in the demand for robotic rehabilitation worldwide.
